The Low Speed Warning Detector (LSWD) utilizes a programmable frequency switch capable of turning “on” or “off” a load such as a LED, audible alarm, back-up fan, etc., at a predetermined motor RPM. If fan speed falls below the preset value, the back-up or warning device is activated. Once fan speed exceeds the preset value, it is de-activated. The RPM value is preset at the factory to 33% of the nominal speed of the motor but can be set to any RPM desired. The preset value has a tolerance of ± 25%.
